If so, why not go to the UK River Restoration Centre conference?

Hello everyone, I have made good friends with our colleagues at the UK River Restoration Centre, and it was Martin Janes and his team that inspired me to set up the Australian River Restoration Centre.  If you happen to be going to the UK next year, why not try and time it for the UK River Restoration Centre Conference on April 19th at the University of Nottingham.  Whenever I am in the UK I visit Martin and spend several days with his team, Board members and the people they work with.  I am always really impressed and learn a lot from my time with them. I also find that I have a lot to offer back, particularly in the areas of community engagement and knowledge sharing.

Abstracts are now being taken for the conference, which this year is called ‘Delivering River Restoration: Recipes for Success’.  Sounds like Masterchef officianados are in with a chance here, particularly if you have recipes that address the themes of ‘Managing partnerships and projects’, ‘Getting your feet wet – what goes on in-channel’, and ‘Valuing the benefits of river restoration’.  More information here, abstracts are due in by the 26th of September.  Let us know if you are going and you can then share your experiences with us when you get home.
