Bioneers is a non-profit educational organization based in New Mexico that highlights innovative and practical solutions for restoring people and the planet. Since 1990, Bioneers has acted as a hub to generate breakthrough approaches to the world’s most pressing environmental and social challenges – drawing on inspiration from nature and human ingenuity. This year the conference is on Oct 19-21 in San Rafael, California.
The theme is ‘Emergence: breakdown to breakthrough’ with sessions on resilient communities, indigenous knowledge (with a focus on river management), restoring ecosystems, food and farming, education in action and youth and women’s leadership. Partnered with the main conference, ‘Beaming Bioneers’ local-community conferences across the world serve as a further focal point to build community, connection and collaboration.
