Our native plants and animals need your help.

The combined impact of land clearing, uncontrolled livestock, invasive pests and a changing climate means we are experiencing a loss of ‘riparian land’ – the land that sits alongside our rivers and streams.

As a result, some of our native birds, fish, mammals and plants are under direct threat.

Riparian land is prime ‘Real Estate’ for biodiversity – with soils rich in organic matter, moisture, a mix of vegetation and carbon. Restoring riparian land gives us the opportunity to preserve healthy, vibrant populations of the native animals, birds and plants that we care about.

At the Australian River Restoration Centre (ARRC), a large component of our work involves protecting and restoring Riparian Real Estate. To do this we develop practical resources, run community workshops and work on-ground with landowners to care for their riparian land.

We are a not-for-profit organisation, and we need your help to continue this important work.

Help us by donating to the ARRC today.

Donate as much or as little as you like. Every donation enables us to reach more people and raise much needed awareness of the Riparian Real Estate that supports our native plants and animals.

Below, you can find some of the free Riparian Real Estate Guides produced to help raise awareness and educate the Australian community about how we can all get involved.

The ARRC is a registered charity recognised under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and the Register of Environmental Organisations. Through your donations, you are helping us demonstrate the value we provide. This helps us maintain our charity status, and enables us to continue protect and restore the Riparian Real Estate upon which our native plants and animals depend.

Thankyou, your support is hugely appreciated 🙂
